Been a while since I updated, or since I even took my camera out to shoot some nice pictures. We made a very quick trip out to Craters of the Moon this weekend and did some nice hiking before a big storm rolled in. Here is what we got... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cS5w4R3kamw/ULtlvByJgqI/AAAAAAAACuA/zZ1Vi7e50Kg/s1600/IMG_6799.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cS5w4R3kamw/ULtlvByJgqI/AAAAAAAACuA/zZ1Vi7e50Kg/s320/IMG_6799.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the contrast that the black cinders knolls have with the white clouds. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is a closeup of the "pahoehoe" on the Blue Dragon Lava Flow. This flow contains the freshest lava rock in the park and some of the freshest in Idaho. Only about 2000 years old. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This picture taken right after we crawled out of the same lava tube, trying to get out of the rain. Very cool inside with the lava stalactites.</div>

The Bristlecone Pine is believed to be one of the oldest living organisms on Earth. Great Basin National Park is know throughout the world for its amazing display of these ancient trees, some as old as 4000 years. What was happening 4000 years ago? That's not too long when looking at the history of the Earth, but for mankind, its hard to fathom that these trees were just starting to sprout so long ago! Some of these trees are 6 feet in diameter, yet they do not grow to be very tall. Why is this? They say that whatever is not covered by the insulating snow during the harsh winters months, is killed off. So, these trees stay "hugged" to the ground.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R698EQHf0gI/T7q0tk0z-lI/AAAAAAAACR0/ZsZZ7s0nyDU/s1600/IMG_5887.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R698EQHf0gI/T7q0tk0z-lI/AAAAAAAACR0/ZsZZ7s0nyDU/s320/IMG_5887.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The funny looking texture of the Bristlecone Pine. Looks like two eyes with a beak.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A cooler looking tree, shaped like a ribbon. About 6 inches thick, and 2 and a half feet wide.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
A shot that resembles the beauty of Great Basin National Park really well!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
And lastly, the weathered, but amazing grain of the Bistlecone Pine. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

This is my last posting for a few months. Hope you enjoy, and never stop adventuring!</div>

Frisco was a booming mining town back in the days. Being founded around 1875, there are many buildings still standing, and evidence that millions of dollars of ore was pulled out of the surrounding area, leaving the town once wealthy. Each building tells its own unique story. We did not spend too much time exploring the area, as its was nasty hot and windy. Possibly someday, I'll return for some better photo ops.</div>

On our 3 day adventure last week, we were planning on hiking Wheeler Peak. We were told by 3 different rangers that the peak was not hikable with standard hiking gear, which we figured they were just trying to scare us, much like the Zion rangers do. So we decided to resort to the Bristlecone and Glacier Trails, which lead to the base of Wheeler Peak, and dead ends in the Wheeler Peak Cirque (glacier carved). The hike in itself was quite the adventure with 3 feet of snow in the shade. This made for lots and lots of "postholing" on the hike back, once the snow was warmed up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SsSPQdn6xYE/T7BsaotG6sI/AAAAAAAACQc/ER4VWdMkPok/s1600/IMG_5913.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SsSPQdn6xYE/T7BsaotG6sI/AAAAAAAACQc/ER4VWdMkPok/s320/IMG_5913.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Scarlet viewing the Cirque on the hike out. Gotta love those stinking airplane trails!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The Cirque with Wheeler Peak being the point on the right. By this time, the ice was beginning to thaw, and every few minutes, you could hear rockfalls up canyon.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
A pinnacle on the east slope of Wheeler Peak. The rock here began as sandstone, and under extreme heat and pressure, turned into a type of quartzite and low grade marble. It is a beautiful rock!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Scarlet traversing a snowfield on the way out of the Cirque. The snow is not so bad in the early hours, but once it warms up, you begin postholing, which is when your feet break through the top layer of the snow, and you go as deep as your shins or even thighs.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is Brown Lake, which really has no trail going to it. You have to do your own pioneering to get there, and as you can see, is worth the hike! I loved how calm and clear the water is in these alpine lakes!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6285579922779202167.post-60951199128535822282012-05-11T12:09:00.000-07:002012-05-11T12:09:13.162-07:00Cathedral Gorge State Park, Nevada<div style="text-align: center;">
On our trip this week, we made it a point to stop by for a couple hours at Cathedral Gorge State Park, Nevada. Little did we know, a whole day there would have been better! Though its a small park, it packs a big punch. It reminded me of a miniature white colored Bryce Canyon. Between the textures, hoodoos, slot canyons and trails, there was lots to see. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The park is about 2000 acres, and the structures are created from volcanic ash millions of years in the shaping. Its not really rock, but a clay, changing with every torrential rain storm.</div>

There are two types of rock art created by ancient Native Americans. There are pictographs, which are images painted onto the rock, and petroglyphs, which are images etched or carved into the rock. Here in Southwest Utah, we have mostly "petroglyphs". Each and every one is unique in its own way, but it seems like a treat to see "pictographs".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This week in Great Basin National Park, we had the opportunity to go visit Upper Pictograph Cave near the Gray Cliffs Picnic Area. It was so cool, and made me wish I could have visited the area 700-1000 years ago when the Fremont Indians inhabited the area. It is believed that the Indians lived in these caves and there is proof from smoke stains on the ceilings of the caves. Here are some images of the pictos...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q4IYV20N4MQ/T6yG-27roII/AAAAAAAACNQ/dYN0_o45xpk/s1600/IMG_6043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q4IYV20N4MQ/T6yG-27roII/AAAAAAAACNQ/dYN0_o45xpk/s320/IMG_6043.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These images are in the sun part of the day, and after more than a few centuries, its amazing they are still around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_K50bzuj8Dw/T6yHBVNtSdI/AAAAAAAACNY/YmiLIC3i0EA/s1600/IMG_6046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_K50bzuj8Dw/T6yHBVNtSdI/AAAAAAAACNY/YmiLIC3i0EA/s320/IMG_6046.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are many different types of images in this area. This is an Anthropomorph (resembling human form) with other "abstracts" around it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-spOmlcEbvA4/T6yHDjQTxHI/AAAAAAAACNg/dQphkFo9ZDE/s1600/IMG_6048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-spOmlcEbvA4/T6yHDjQTxHI/AAAAAAAACNg/dQphkFo9ZDE/s320/IMG_6048.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the most significant set of images in the area. The paint is in such great shape and in perfect view of the camera. We might not ever know the stories of these paintings, but that doesn't spoil the fascination!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HLgfluyyvqE/T6yHMuSlojI/AAAAAAAACNo/j9gSjyVbkoU/s1600/IMG_6042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HLgfluyyvqE/T6yHMuSlojI/AAAAAAAACNo/j9gSjyVbkoU/s320/IMG_6042.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another closeup of a faded Anthropomorph.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you end up in the area, give Upper Pictograph Cave a visit. Its only a 30 minute side trip from the main drag and is well worth the trip!</div>

Ok, I will be totally honest. We were in Jackson, Wyoming last weekend on our trip, but it was snowing so hard, and the clouds were so low, there was no chance on getting any shots in the 5 hour time frame we had. But I did get this shot just outside of Montpelier, Wyoming on our drive the same day. The aspens were just starting to get their leaves, but were lightly dusted with snow this particular morning. </div>

Scarlet and I made a quick trip to Bear Lake this last weekend. I didn't pull out my camera too much, but did take it on our short hike in Fossil Butte National Monument, Sunday morning. As for Fossil Butte, it was pretty fascinating. Didn't live up to National Monument expectations, but we still had a good time. The park has two trails, neither of which leads past any fossils. To find those, you have to know where to look, and be willing to walk off trail through the sagebrush. Fossil collecting is illegal, but the fossil hunt was fun and we saw probably 20 different fish fossils. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RY1OUJNWWVY/T58xbUQ6N5I/AAAAAAAACKs/wzJH0yIef9k/s1600/IMG_5650.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RY1OUJNWWVY/T58xbUQ6N5I/AAAAAAAACKs/wzJH0yIef9k/s320/IMG_5650.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of the many fish fossils we found in a recent rock slide. The rock here is in paper thin layers and is a very brittle limestone. A lot of the rock is so brittle, that just moving the rocks can fracture the 50 million year old skeletons.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x9654vjRcWk/T58xfL1xw9I/AAAAAAAACK0/4xFCaPEXeMo/s1600/IMG_5671.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x9654vjRcWk/T58xfL1xw9I/AAAAAAAACK0/4xFCaPEXeMo/s320/IMG_5671.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another fossil with the upper limestone band of Fossil Butte sitting under the beautiful blue Wyoming sky. I tried getting a picture that would represent the park as a whole, but this is the only one I got before losing patience with the cold winds! I kinda like it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oyZIrh7xU3k/T58xjP4mJ4I/AAAAAAAACK8/3h7szN6d5ek/s1600/IMG_5674.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oyZIrh7xU3k/T58xjP4mJ4I/AAAAAAAACK8/3h7szN6d5ek/s320/IMG_5674.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A closeup of the same fish from above. This is one of the best preserved fish fossils we found, and on the other side of the slab, was still the mummified decaying remains of other fish. Its hard to fathom the body of the animal is still present after 50 million years. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the cabin of David Haddenham. Haddenham was a popular fossil collector in the early 1900's at Fossil Butte. This cabin was constructed in 1918, and still has the frame of his old bed and parts of his handmade wood burning stove. Haddenham roamed the area for nearly half a century.</div>

Just got back from an amazing canyoneering trip in the Lake Powell Country. The trip consisted of 6 canyon descents in 4 days, and my butt got kicked. One of the best trips I have ever been on! Because of the technicality and tight ruggedness of the canyons, I did not take my camera on any of the descents, but I got a few "other" pictures of the area.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So here I am, and some pictures I took today. Now with these pictures, they were all taken in RAW Format, still 100% in manual mode, but the camera only records what it sees, no extra color settings or anything. So the pictures are actually fairly "ugly" when they pull up on the screen. So there is some processing, which I am not a fan of, required in order to get an attractive picture. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PK2sJSrpWgw/T4ZAfJC_8hI/AAAAAAAACDs/5tbZzs1eaqY/s1600/IMG_5002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PK2sJSrpWgw/T4ZAfJC_8hI/AAAAAAAACDs/5tbZzs1eaqY/s320/IMG_5002.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Bridge Mountain, West Temple, and East Temple, blanketed by cloud cover. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SMrzHOxaaMc/T4ZAhErYeOI/AAAAAAAACD0/nwAtE64cLJk/s1600/IMG_5021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SMrzHOxaaMc/T4ZAhErYeOI/AAAAAAAACD0/nwAtE64cLJk/s320/IMG_5021.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Not too sure what this mountain is called (I am sure it has a name), but I thought it was one good lookin Butte!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jUCIChRKc0A/T4ZAjYOs1RI/AAAAAAAACD8/pJbiV5Jz8kI/s1600/IMG_5022.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jUCIChRKc0A/T4ZAjYOs1RI/AAAAAAAACD8/pJbiV5Jz8kI/s320/IMG_5022.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> The drainage of the slickrock bowl which I hiked to today.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MZhnCqrWhXo/T4ZAkZwzTMI/AAAAAAAACEE/4A8p-Jp6qCE/s1600/IMG_5042.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MZhnCqrWhXo/T4ZAkZwzTMI/AAAAAAAACEE/4A8p-Jp6qCE/s320/IMG_5042.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">A black and white of the famous hoodoo located near Keyhole Canyon. Considering I got up too late, and upon entrance to Zion, found out they have started mandatory shuttles for the summer, I decided to go to East Zion again. I chose a hike that would take me to the a pass that would require me to do an Angels Landing style hike, without the chains. I was a little nervous on some parts, but the views were worth it. I didn't spend too much time taking pictures, but I did take a few. If you know me well enough, you know that I am completely intrigued by the desert and sand's different textures. You can see things here, that you really don't see anywhere else. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--gug17lLw_Q/T3nI4zbjviI/AAAAAAAAB_0/ldXOjnkRycw/s1600/IMG_4317.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--gug17lLw_Q/T3nI4zbjviI/AAAAAAAAB_0/ldXOjnkRycw/s320/IMG_4317.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> A very interesting root system to a fallen Ponderosa Pine. I think they look like hands.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wN95zU7_Bag/T3nJTs0P8tI/AAAAAAAAB_8/ql9ugJTaCZE/s1600/IMG_4356.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wN95zU7_Bag/T3nJTs0P8tI/AAAAAAAAB_8/ql9ugJTaCZE/s320/IMG_4356.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> A stained canyon wall. This picture shows a lot. The color of the natural sandstone, the cross-bedding of the layers, the splash of a past flash flood, and the slow mud drips from the bright red sands above.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YLX6mMuuQIc/T3nJbpLj5eI/AAAAAAAACAE/jVWZ1TZvQ8k/s1600/IMG_4368.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YLX6mMuuQIc/T3nJbpLj5eI/AAAAAAAACAE/jVWZ1TZvQ8k/s320/IMG_4368.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Sunset at Coral Pink Sand Dunes. It was very windy this day, as you can see the horizontal lines blowing off the dune. As the sun is barely hitting the dune, the east side was completely darkened and the west side is lit a dark orange.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QcbsSSQ8QxQ/T3nJtU2HnqI/AAAAAAAACAM/MV1S705wlwI/s1600/IMG_4379.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QcbsSSQ8QxQ/T3nJtU2HnqI/AAAAAAAACAM/MV1S705wlwI/s320/IMG_4379.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I thought this would make an interesting picture as the sun was barely lighting the wind blown sand. What has happened is the wind has swept away all the loose sand exposing the wet sand underneath. The heavier pebbles stay in place, leaving "tails" on the leeward side.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6285579922779202167.post-70353175254713208732012-03-29T23:06:00.000-07:002012-03-29T23:06:46.100-07:00Zion Park's "Crazy Tree Hoodoo"<div style="text-align: center;">One thing I have learned over the years, and especially in the last few weeks shooting in the early morning hours is that the good stuff really does comes during the "golden hour". The golden hour is that certain time early in the morning and evening when the sun is just right, that you get those special colors. Sometimes those colors happen in seconds, sometimes in minutes. Or like the other day when I was shooting a sunrise, the magic moment happened twice. The point I am trying to get at is, I have really learned to have patience, and really think about some of the scenes I am shooting, instead of just pointing and shooting.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Here is a series of the same subject I captured this morning. The light changed in a matter of 2 minutes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ejp5-MKTdyg/T3VJQ1gCdkI/AAAAAAAAB-M/4QTm00BwMmw/s1600/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo+early.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ejp5-MKTdyg/T3VJQ1gCdkI/AAAAAAAAB-M/4QTm00BwMmw/s320/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo+early.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The early shot. In this one, nothing is lit up, and although I think its still a good looking picture, it's pretty flat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mdbyER-No10/T3VJwe5hmoI/AAAAAAAAB-U/JJ0gCN8q6R4/s1600/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo+late.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mdbyER-No10/T3VJwe5hmoI/AAAAAAAAB-U/JJ0gCN8q6R4/s320/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo+late.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> The late shot. I think this one looks washed out. I could have done a shorter exposure time, but I would still be left with an ugly shadow across the center on the rock that kind of distracts the eye.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-avmPw04aa3M/T3VKKndD06I/AAAAAAAAB-c/AJ4yU0nx-mQ/s1600/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-avmPw04aa3M/T3VKKndD06I/AAAAAAAAB-c/AJ4yU0nx-mQ/s320/Crazy+Tree+Hoodoo.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">In my opinion, this is the winner. My subject was lit up by the sun, without any harsh light, and the bottom of the rock was still a little shaded, but lit enough, that it doesn't feel "empty" or "flat".</div><div style="text-align: center;">All three of these pictures were taken at f22, 0.6 sec, 100 iso. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

In the mean while, these are some of the other pictures I took throughout the beautiful Zion morning.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kvKaq2PXyD4/T3UhZP1PWaI/AAAAAAAAB9U/brV-qLlEz0g/s1600/IMG_4079.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kvKaq2PXyD4/T3UhZP1PWaI/AAAAAAAAB9U/brV-qLlEz0g/s320/IMG_4079.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> I got up almost too early, this is one of the pictures I got while waiting for the sun to rise to a perfect position.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hD26M99syY0/T3UiR9aPq3I/AAAAAAAAB9k/7jweZMtVTXM/s1600/IMG_4126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hD26M99syY0/T3UiR9aPq3I/AAAAAAAAB9k/7jweZMtVTXM/s320/IMG_4126.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> A normal seen in East Zion's slickrock country! It almost doesn't look real. Cant imagine it would last much longer if the general public knew how to access it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7H1rP-Bybx4/T3UjehwW-zI/AAAAAAAAB-E/8TztbBpVFi0/s1600/IMG_4127.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7H1rP-Bybx4/T3UjehwW-zI/AAAAAAAAB-E/8TztbBpVFi0/s320/IMG_4127.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">A light mid-morning reflection on a calmer section of the Virgin River.
